I appreciate the works of many of both the Chech and other Eastern European photographers, but their style is not my own. I think it is about being bound to the landscape in a different way.

Interestingly, this discussion has brought to mind a post to PDML by Paal Jensen a copule of years back. I don't have a copy of that mail anymore, but he wrote something to the effect of him having too much respect for the landscape to publish pictures that failed to convey it's grandeur.

Sulonen's pontifications puts his stance in a new light to me. I'm afraid I don't practice my respect for the landscape in the same way, though...
