In truth, I really don't think about my breathing, although I think I pull the 
trigger between breaths.  I keep my left hand under the lens barrell with my 
elbow planted firmly against my chest. My right handwraps around the camera. I 
do concentrate on a smooth shutter release. I can't hit a high percentage 
without shake when shooting handheld with this lens (400 plus doubler) at only 
1/500th, but I do get around 30-50% if I work hard.
