This was taken in another of those dark music venues; even with ISO 1600 I was shooting 1/25 at f1.7 (*ist-D, F50/f1.7) - I've got to get me another 1.4
<http://panix.com/~johnf/temp/FourHands.jpg> This is almost straight as it came from the camera (best-quality JPEG, all other settings on default), with no attempt to correct anything; it's as least as good as I'd expect to get from Fuji 1600 under the same difficult lighting conditions, and in fact the black background is better than I've managed when scanning film. The cheekbones are a little blown out; if I'd been shooting raw I could probably have corrected that.
