I normally check disk permissions when I'm doing major system installs. Only rarely do I get a notification that disk permissions repairs need to be done. It's not something that a user needs to do very often at all.

Good info. I'll save it for re-reading from time to time, until I "get it down."
I did verify and repair disc permissions earlier today, and not surprisingly, several of my Epson 820 printer permissions needed repair!
I'll be attempting to do the printer nozzle cleaning exercise a little later this afternoon. It ought to work now.
Never thought a repair permissions might be needed.
I'll report back.
