Hi!

The image looks OK in the small format as you have presented, it might have benefited from being just a little darker overall as the intensity of the lights signifies that the sky is likely a little too bright. I assume that you aren't post processing using PC CS RAW as yet? Why I ask is that I wasn't particularly satisfied with the performance of my *ist D at high ISO settings before I started RAW post processing in PS CS RAW. The in camera and PhotoLab processing are poor compared and don't really do justice to the camera.

Rob, actually, I AM using PC CS RAW converter. I am using its simplified version that I have for PS Elements III. Just after I posted this, a friend of mine told me about free version of Neat Image. I installed it afterwards. It seems to improve on noise a little. However, three factors affected the image quality:

1. It was shot hand held even without using 2 sec MLU
2. It was shot through the window which was not perfectly clean of course
3. It was shot with FA 28-70/4 or F 70-210/4-5.6 wide open.

So, the full size image looks like it lacks resolution...

In fact, I can send you the processed full-size JPEG in the e-mail for you to look at.

Thanks!

Boris
