Unlikely, as the plain vanilla TTL flashes (500FTZ, 330FTZ, etc.) need off-the-film... err... CCD sensor in order to work. The TTL sensor is there, but according to the *ist DS manual the built in flash only works in P-TTL mode, with lenses set on A, and doesn't support TTL at all. If you want TTL flash with K/M lenses or with aperture set on the lens then you need an external unit like 360FGZ, 500FTZ etc. Just another deliberate software limitation to remind you have to pay to get more.
