The filter thread of the Tamron rebadged 28-105 was 62 mm. That may be
the lens this store is referring to, or they may have confused the old
lens with the new one. I understood that the new 28-105 would have a 58
mm. filter ring. This is a Pentax standard, so it gave some assurance
that this may be a Pentax-designed and -built lens.
