Hi Frank, Your comments below reminded me of something I've wanted to mention a few times. Neopan 1600 is not a true 1600 speed (ISO) film. It's true speed is more like 800 - 1000. In other words, shooting it at 3200 is actually more than a one stop push - more on the order of two stops. May I humbly suggest that if you expose the film @ 1600 in contrasty situations, such as the ice rink or at parties, you'll get better results (better meaning more shadow detail, less contrast, better highlight control) than when shooting it @ an EMI (exposure index) of 3200.
Kind regards from the darkroom, Shel > [Original Message] > From: frank theriault > In terms of equipment, I'll bring both the MAX and LAX, one loaded with > Colour print film the other B&W (I'm thinking TriX, as they're doing > it in the evening this year, although the rink will be brightly lit). > I've got 1/2 a roll left of Fuji Neopan 1600 that I've been pushing > one stop that I can pop in if needed (might save that for the party).
