The stange thing is: the batteries ARE new. I had the smae behaviour
with tho old ones in the camrey and the new ones, directly from the
package.
I would try a set of good quality NimH batteries (Energizers seem quite good).
If that doesn't do it, your camera should get a run to the repair shop.
I presume you have cleaned the battery contacts in the camera, and the contacts on the batteries?
