I assume that the messages go "personal mail server -> listserver -> listees 
(including Mail Archive)" so it would appear the either some peoples' mail is 
causing the problem or some peoples' ISP is. There is certainly a discrepancy 
in the way mails appear from my ntl (ptui!) account depending on whether I am 
using an email programme or webmail, so I am thinking it is likely to be the 
former in my case.  It has been very reluctant this afternoon so, once I get 
home, I will try it from there to see if the difference continues.
