GREAT essay, Cotty. It should be published in a mag or paper somewhere. I'll be quiet on my thoughts WRT the hunt, except that (okay, so I won't be ~entirely~ quiet <g>) the "we've been doing this for 170 years" thing doesn't quite wash. If it's wrong, it's wrong. If it's right, it's right. Makes no difference how long it's been done. Sadly (and I make no connection WRT levels of morality here), those Southern US white who wanted the Jim Crow laws upheld, and wanted systemic racism to continue, used the "it's part of our heritage" argument, so when I see that argument used elsewhere, I'm less than swayed by it. Again, not commenting on the hunt, just that particular argument. And, again, terrific work, Cotty. Each photo stands on it's own; as a group they are spectacular. cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson
