Probably just means the economy is improving and folks have a bit more money to spend. All kinds of things are claimed to be dying (like film) when what is actually happening is the economy sucks and folks are broke. As money becomes more available lots of things will start selling better. In fact even in this little town several stores are running short of merchadize because they ordered stock based upon last years sales (down a bunch) and now they are selling about twice as fast as last year.
