Many of the posts about On the Go storage sound to me like a nightmare. When
I am "On the Go" I am traveling across borders, often in third world
countries. I don't count on hot water. I can't imagine struggling with all
the hardware, improvisations, memory devices laptops and batteries being
described in some of these posts.

There is a solution to the problem. Film! It is compact, archival,
universally available, inexpensive, lightweight, and comes in different
flavors. Film can be used in many simple, reliable, cameras including the
great Pentax classics. The lenses used on many digital slrs will still work
on film cameras. Film can be scanned to produce beautiful images of higher
resolution than all but the most expensive digital slrs.

Certainly digital is the future for most photography. However, for
photography "On the Go" I'll stick to my Leica or my MX. KISS
