It doesn't matter if Yahoo is blocked, the messages you get are from the original sender, just like here, Yahoo just broadcasts them. I have Yahoo blocked as well, and have no problems getting list mail.
No, Yahoo is blocked by IP address. This *will* be that of the Yahoo list server. The original sender's IP will appear somewhere in the headers (I think) but it'll be farther down. It's Yahoo's server that will be asking for an SMTP connection with mine (well, my hosting services', to be specific).
