Check this: In Photoshop (with an image open), go to the VIEW menu and Proof Setup. An additional submenu will pop out to the right. Note which of the items has a check mark next to it. On my computer (and yours too, I suspect) it's "Working CMYK". If this is the case, Photoshop is trying to show you what your image will look like *when printed* (this is called a "soft proof"), which is necessarily different from how it will look on a monitor. If you go to near the bottom of the list and select "Monitor RGB" instead you'll get the image as a computer monitor will see it. -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
