Yes, it wasn't actually bought from someone on the list. It is the first time since I joined the list that I would buy a piece of gear brand new. So, I enabled myself with Slik Pro 300 DX tripod with pan/tilt head today.
After meeting Jostein in August I realized that tripod was fun. After IL PDML 2005 I realized I ought to buy one and quick.
Took it already to the field to try. Naturally, the pan/tilt head is slower to operate than wonderful (with very high glove factor too) ball heads that Jostein uses. Still, it does the trick.
Just thought you might want to know...
