Perhaps it should be noted that I mentioned in the description for the
Pentax adapter that the Pentax adapter "usually works better than no-name
or odd brands."   Problems with off-brand adapters have been mentioned here
numerous times, but it's nice to have that reinforced every now and then. 
Unfortunately, Powell had to underwrite the cost of the experiment, but his
description of the problem with the Promaster adapter should be a red flag
for anyone considering purchasing anything other than a gen-u-wine Pentax
model.

Powell, I'm sorry you had problems with the Promaster - and you're right, I
never used it, never even took it out of the package.
