I use it all the time when I shoot with my Optio S. I have a Toshiba
Satellite and though I do miss having two PCMCIA slots like on the IBM
Thinkpad this is a nice touch on the Toshiba.

I recently bought a relatively inexpensive Toshiba LapTop Computer. I
just now discovered that it has an SD card slot built right into the
side of the computer. Neat. Looks like I can just pop the card out
of the Optio, pop it into the computer, and go right to Photo Shop.
Has anyone tried this yet? (I'm at work and don't have the Optio with
me, otherwise I would try it myself right away.
