I can not really answer when it was Heiland, but in 1969 I went to work
for Honeywell, and one of the benefits was a discount on Pentax, Rollei,
Elmo and Honeywell photo products. I really wanted a Rollei, but my
budget dictated that I could afford a Pentax. When I bought my first
Pentax, an H1a, it of course said Honeywell on it. My uncle went to the
closet and pulled out a Pentax (possibly an S3v), with the Heiland name
on it. He had owned it a number of years. Given to him by a Honeywell
sales rep. Hmmm, wonder what ever happened to that camera.

Later, when I could afford the Rolleicord I wanted, Honeywell was no
longer importing them, so no discount. As a result I bought my second
Pentax, a Spotmatic II. In between I bought my dad an SP500. Both were
labelled Honeywell.
