Hey Shel.

Just to add my $0.02 here. I normally use on my Nikons the presets,like 
sunny,cloudy,shady
etc at the 
shows. I will use AWB if i'm in the open as it works well to,but the sensor on 
the D2H is
in the front of 
the prism. It can be swayed if you are shooting inshade or wearing a ball cap 
like i do. I
thought 
something was wrong with my camera until one sports shooter mentioned that to 
me. Using
AWB on 
Nikon,stay out of the shade and turn your hat around.<vbg>

As far as the istD, i have mainly used the AWB feature. I find its pretty good 
for what i
have done so 
far. Even with flash.

Unfortunatly most of what i shoot are jpgs and if i forget to reset the WB i 
can get some
nasty results 
that are hard to fix.But i usually chimp now,so only a few are poor.
