BTW: there are two ways to become a successful photographer:
1) Be very good/excellent at taking any pictures in general, and
especially
people
2) Know everything about one subject (fishing, wildlife,
arkitecture,
bugs,
geology, flowers - or whatever) and photograph it.

Be damned good at photographing controversial subjects/situations.
Photographic
skill is less important.
