Spot focus: Yes, these cameras have ONLY spot focus. There is ONE (1) focus
sensor in the middle of the screen. That is it.
Flash synch speed: It is the same for PZ-1 and PZ-1p, a maximum of 1/250th.

220T flash: Yes, this is compatible with these cameras. But, I cannot
recommend this flash as much of an improvement over the unit built into the
camera. Save your money and get a AF330FTZ or AF500FTZ at a later date.
