So why are you insulting Michigan hill farmers now? You have something against the Irish maybe?

Thanks Keith, well said.
However we prefer "HillBillies", "HillBillys" is somewhat
offensive and tends to associate one with those snobs from
Beverly Hills, California.

Oh baloney!
Way WAY too many folks are too quick to take offense at imagined slights from others...
A lot of years ago, no nationality was so sacrosanct that it didn't have it's share of jokes, based on perceived national characteristics. None of which had any REAL truth in their basis, but it was just accepted as being so...
The Poles, the Italians, the Germans, and yes, the Blacks and the Mexicans, and hillbillys and on and on...they all had their own jokes, and even the Poles, the Italians and the Germans laughed at them, and largely didn't take offense.
Those days are over, unfortunately.

A lot of people can't appreciate a good joke anymore, for fear it might be politically incorrect, and [awwww...] hurt someone's feelings!
The entire history of jokes, should you know any of it, is replete with the eventual laughter sought because of someone else's misfortune!
The laughter comes forth as the listener identifies with the situation, and is happy it's happening to someone else, not HIM!

We all need to lighten up and be a little more gentle and find things to make us smile, or ~ God forbid ~ actually laugh at ourselves!
Too few of us are capable of it anymore, and that's just plain sad.
