I really dislike all the newish straps I've encountered. Apart from the sometimes garish advertising, they are too wide and are difficult to wrap around the wrist ... ergonomically they stink. My favorite straps are the thin leather straps from the Spotmatic days. Classy, unobtrusive, they feel good, wrap well, and make great cat toys <LOL>
While it's not my favorite alternative (mainly because I've not used it except to try it), Godfrey's got a nice grip strap wrist thingy on his DS.
