In Photoshop you can use the File Browser for this, applying the RAW converter options to a set of similar photos, etc. The File Browser fires up Camera Raw in the background to produce the previews, RAW conversion will be simulated in the thumbnails, which can be sized up to a fairly large dimension based on your screen and the preferences you've used for the File Browser.
