Graywolf, I was actually hoping to make some uncomfortable. Put the shoe on 
the other foot. Make it obvious that some jokes are belittling because they are 
so stereotypical. Sure, they might be funny, but they are based on certain 
premises that aren't very funny at all. I tried to make a point by 
illustration. 
I think most got it.

The interesting thing is I had to delete about four jokes that were as too 
offensive. Involving killing...

Such as: 

What does it mean when a man is in your bed gasping for breath and calling 
your name?
You didn't hold the pillow down long enough.

That, is really, where most of these types of jokes finally end up. And that 
is the type of joke that guy was cracking back in the eighties about Blacks, 
when I threw him out of my house. They started innocuous but ended up involving 
death. And he couldn't really see why I was offended -- he thought the humor 
was obvious. But, then, I hated all those dead baby jokes that made the rounds 
too.
