Subject: A short DSLR users survey

For those DSLR users with 35mm gear who thought before buying their DSLR that
their 35mm film usage would:

Become occasional?
Become specific (i.e. B&W only or high ISO or slide only)?

Did your subsequent actual film use match your prior expectations?

i don't use film now except to use it up or where i am 100% sure that i am going to get an exceptional shot that i will enlarge more than i can with the *istD's resolution. that means that i bring a film body and some film on extended photo trips and no other time. even then, i hardly use any.

For users who had Pentax SLRs prior to purchasing a Pentax DSLR did you end up
buying one or more new lenses specifically to suite the DSLR?

i have the two main DA lenses. i toy with the idea of getting the DA40 Limited, which B&H says they have in stock, just to have the next Limited lens. 40mm is just a little too long for what i like to shoot, or a little too short. i bought the Sigma 12-24 because sometimes, even 14mm isn't wide enough, even on a film camera, and it's too much hassle to shoot an accurate panorama in a sequence of frames. if Tamron's 12-24 were made in Pentax mount, i would consider switching. i find all Sigma lenses have a strange grainy texture in their bokeh that i really don't like at all.
