Tried shooting in contrasty light with intent of preserving shadow detail, not blowing out the white stripes on dad's shirt, and keeping the warm tone of the afternoon light. I think it's OK for what I was trying. Comments from the experts appreciated.

I can understand why mankind hasn't given up war. During a war you get to drive tanks through the sides of buildings and shoot foreigners - two things that are usually frowned on during peacetime.
