Well I have tried a M 4/200mm on *ist D. Brilliant lens.
This one was done with the SMC Pentax-M 4/200mm and *ist D:

The K and M are not identical. The K has a 5-5 configuration and 58mm front
element, the M has a 6-5 configuration and a 52mm front element. So my guess
is the K is optacally better (and quite rare due to only 2 years vs. 7 years
of production), but I'm only guessing, here.

Hi all,

Has anyone ever tried this combo?

Would be interested to hear about results and if you
could provide samples I would sure appreciate it.

Thanks.
