Hello Jonas.
Welcome to the PDML community!
PAW: is Photo A Week
PESO: is Photo Ever So Often.

I don't know your Tokina lens, but I know Tokina can make excellent lenses.
I have the F-4-5.6/70-210mm. Excellent lens, judged only in terms of a
rather slow consumer lens, but better than many compeditors. I know
FotoMagazine (competent testers) rated it SUPER some years back (the reason
I bought it).
I'm convinced that this lens is probably only beaten by primes or more
expensive/faster lenses available in K-mount.
I can't find your Tokina lens tested anywhere. However, the AT-X versions
(80-400mm and 100-300mm) seem to be getting very nice reviews/test results -
"Super" in FotoMagazin, rated 8.6-8.8 out of 10, even not quite as high as
the Pentax.

Emne: Hello to PDML and a question concerning the Tokina 75-300 AF

Hello all pdml-people out there,

today I just want to say hello to everyone for I am quite new to Pentax.
But since I'm in, I really love taking photographs. It also seems that
there is some obvious progress... ;-)
Thanks for this list and all the good hints and pictures and experiences
(is there an explanation anywhere for the abreviations like PAW and PESO
and so on?)

Now to my little question: I own the Tokina 75-300 AF @ my *IstDs and I
also use it for macropics with an achromatic lens 3+. Does anyobe have
some experiences with the Tokina, specially in comparison to the SMC F
70-210? The Pentax lens seems to be better in color quality, but not in
sharpness. Could this be true?

Thanx in advance for every little answer,
greets, Johannes.

GOD RULZ!
