Working in C1 gives me the option of batch converting many files at a time. Often files shot under similar conditions can be treated the same way, anyway. So, to me, it's easier to convert RAW files, than working with Tiffs. I can always get a decent photograph from a RAW file, because of the greater "latidtude". It's more like doing your own enlargement from film, rather than getting (more or less useless) prints (jpegs).
