i can only check from work but i seem to remember more than a factor of 10 
if you add up all the divisions of each company. Canon's main source of 
income is its copier division. Pentax has been having problems in its "cash 
cow" medical imaging products not being cash cows anymore.

I don't have the figures but it wouldn't surprise me if Cosina had the 
edge in
both volume and definitely R&D these days. Herb may be able to enlighten 
us as
to their current net worth vs Pentax.
