I really like your marathon shot, I have at times thought of going to the Vancouver
marathon to grab a few shots.  The more you use the 300/2.8 the more you will like
it.  My A* 300/2.8 & matched convertor probably get more use than any other lenses I
have.  I am just back from from my annual spring vacation to eastern Oregon for bird
photography.
