Okay, perhaps I should explain. The problem with both was a failure of the winder mechanism. Looking at other dead 6x7s on eBay this seems by far to be the commonest cause of failure. I tried to get it repaired at the Australian Pentax distributor but they were unable to get parts. This doesn't surprise me as the winder mechanism was upgraded when the MLU was added and again when the 67II was introduced. If they all fail with the same problem there aren't even any parts cameras available.
You might still be able to get a shutter repaired, although with the current low second hand prices it probably isn't worth it. FWIW I wasn't charged for the attempted repair, even although they stripped both cameras far enough to try transplanting parts from one to the other. In the end I got a beaten up, but working, MLU and have since taken advantage of low prices to acquire a nicer 67 as well. Digital has made all sorts of previously "dream" gear drop into my price range. Paul -----Original Message----- From: Mark Cassino [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Interesting.... I had no problems getting my 6x7 repaired about a year ago, and at a local shop. He wouldn't touch my LX, Pz-1p, or Mz-S though....
