Did a pretty thorough search of the archives to find not much posted about this lense. I've read the ~ 50 reviews of this floating around from users of other camera makers (not sure if there's some unofficial cultural taboo about using other brand names in here) and it seems very good to slightly mixed.
Google failed to release any resolution pixelpeeping on this lense either, so if anyone owns it and has some anecdotal evidence and/or comparisons they'd like to swing my way, then I'm all ears!

It is a well built, sharp lens. When I say sharp, I mean sharp for a zoom lens, as my primes outperform it, but not for a wide margin. It is also heavy, but it balances well on the MZ-S with or without battery grip. Autofocus is fast, and manual focus feels almost as good as in a good manual focus lens.
On the other hand, flare control is not as good as in Pentax SMC lenses (not a surprise), and barrel distortion at 28 mm. is sometimes noticeable, as in most wide-to-moderate-tele zooms.
