I suppose it's back to how Pentax is marketed locally. Here for many years 
Pentax was the last thing you expected to see on the shelves of a camera shop, 
maybe a few low end MZ with Sigma lenses but nothing else. All the pro shops 
were full of Hassey, Mamiya, Bronica, Rollei but very little Pentax. Now at 
least you see the occasional MF body and DSLRs aren't that difficult to find 
though real Pentax 35mm lenses are still thin on the ground.
