I like this. The composition works with the out of focus guitar player balancing the prominent sax man on the left. The light is extremely hard and direct. That combined with the high contrast gives you a look. It's reminiscent of old Speed Graphic flash pictures. However, I have to wonder how this might look with more subtle light. What is the stage lighting? Could you try high speed film, like TXT 3200 and do some work with just the light in the bar? A faster, shorter lens might be interesting as well. Just a thought. But that being said, I do like what you've done here. It's retro and cool.

I actually cropped a bit <vbg>.  Personally, I think it's the
strongest photo of that session, but I'd really like to hear your
thoughts.  It's times like this that I realize what a valuable
educational tool this list can be.
