Hi all,
I tested the full range of shutter speeds of my Z-1p and two K2's on Sunday.
I haven't got time right now to put up the full results but the general conclusion
is that the Z-1p is dead-accurate from 1/1000 out to 30 seconds (the worst is
about 1/6th-stop out). The faster shutter speeds may have revealed a
limitation in my testing. I might check these ones against known-accurate
speeds using film and a fast lens.
As for the K2 bodies, the one that's been to the repair shop three times since
I got it is out by a mile and got worse when I put a brand new battery in. A few
shutter speeds (actually most with the new battery) are out by a half-stop or
more. The other K2 which I tested as a comparison is very good, but is
slightly out at speeds faster than 1/60th (about 1/3 stop, and 1/2-stop out at
1/1000).
I'll put the full results, along with an overview of the testing procedure, on my
website when I get around to it.
Cheers,
- Dave
