Andre mentioned the Pentax PC35AF the other day in a post about classic 35 rangefinders and I thought I'd go looking for one. I got one from eekBay in "for parts" condition for $4.99. The ad said that the battery chamber was corroded from the batteries leaking, figured I could fix it. I did, but holy cow! The entire winding mechanism and a good part of the wiring was frozen/corroded/nasty! However, doing without the luxury of sleep last night, it's ALIVE! Super cute camera, and that nice Pentax Purple/Green glow to the lens.
Here the patient: http://www.donsauction.com/pdml/PC35AF.jpg Haven't cleaned the outside yet, but ain't he cute? Incredibly complex inside for the type of camera and its age. Can't wait to see some pics. ;-) Don
