Collate all the data you want, fact is if I were to sell all my SMCP-A lenses right now I would get between 300 and 800 percent of what I paid for them over the last 3 years. That shows: 1.) They are sought after by many. 2.) The 'many' can't have them, I've compared them to their AF brethren and have chosen to sell the AF versions because, dollar for dollar some of the older glass just plain kicks butt! I would say a head to head, hands on comparison is about as fair a test as you can do wouldn't you? The market HAS decided, some old glass is great stuff, which has yet to be 'replaced' in AF versions at an affordable price point.
