Cropping is very much intentional, but I'm not going to tell you why. I'd much rather hear your opinions.
May I humbly suggest another crop? What about cropping that figure(s) on the left so as to leave about a square of this image. Then the two people and an *empty chair* will IMHO combine into rather thought provoking composition.
Also, I'm very interested to hear if you think of this shot as abusive or trespassing on the people's integrity in any way. Personally I get a sting of bad conscience even from doing stealth shots of Cotty the Shepherd, so I definately need help with this one...:-)
I shall refrain from any comments, at least in public. The reasons are evident :).
