Hello Joe, It will perform ok. You lose some of the dramatic wideness and the lens is not overly sharp to begin with. I find that I almost always use the DA 16-45 instead.
Here are a few shots from the fisheye zoom taken at wedding I did last Saturday. All were shot in available light (darkness) @ ISO 1600 handheld at 17mm (max fisheye). These were shot at f/5.6 between 1/10-1/20th of a second: http://www.daytonphoto.com/Galleries/Hoffman/hoffman_0173.htm http://www.daytonphoto.com/Galleries/Hoffman/hoffman_0174.htm http://www.daytonphoto.com/Galleries/Hoffman/hoffman_0176.htm http://www.daytonphoto.com/Galleries/Hoffman/hoffman_0179.htm http://www.daytonphoto.com/Galleries/Hoffman/hoffman_0180.htm http://www.daytonphoto.com/Galleries/Hoffman/hoffman_0181.htm These were shot at f/6.7 at 1/30th: http://www.daytonphoto.com/Galleries/Hoffman/hoffman_0182.htm http://www.daytonphoto.com/Galleries/Hoffman/hoffman_0183.htm As you can see, the fisheye effect is significantly reduced. The lack of sharpness compared to the DA 16-45 makes it just not that cool of a lens anymore. I personally would probably rather get the DA 14/2.8 to get wider or the upcoming DA 12-24 zoom. -- Best regards, Bruce Wednesday, March 30, 2005, 12:34:56 PM, you wrote: J> Dear group, J> I love my fisheye zoom on my Z-1.
