I'm using all my very capable 35mm glass and am quite pleased with the results. In fact I'm quite pleased that my A 400 now has the FOV of a 600, and I didn't have to spend $4000 to get there. However, I don't really require extremely wide lenses for anything I do. The DA 16-45 has proved almost wide enough to meet all my needs at that end. I think the new DA 12-25 (?) would prove just fine for me, as long as it is a good optic. I don't see any obstacle to good primes in the 10 to 12 range. They're very common in motion picture photography, although with a somewhat smaller image circle. Then again, my knowledge of optics is extremely limited.
