The one i have is also quite light and balances well on the PZ-1 and istD.
The newer f/3.2-4.5 model is smaller and lighter ... they had both so I got to see them side by side. Based on the responses from my earlier inquiry about this lens, I suspect the newer model is just a hair better performer. If it performs as well as the F35-70/3.5-4.5, it will be good enough! I have primes to go beyond that. ;-)
Just for some reason on the D at the 28 and 105 ends,it sometimes has a hissy fit when
trying to focus.Move it slightly off the ends and its fine.
No problems at all on the Pz-1.
I didn't have my DS with me but I'll certainly bring it along if I decide to pick up this lens today so I can check it out on my camera.
