Much more fun than a zillion res tests. ;-)
I agree. I went out to a nature preserve and shot some birds and deer. Shooting is much better than testing.
I was hoping that someone would come to their senses and quit the lens tests. Fer gosh sakes, doesn't anyone know how to test a lens? Use a resolution chart, use a piece of newsprint, etc etc.
I took my latest lens acquisition, the FA28-105/3.2-4.5 AL IF, with me to San Francisco today. I made 65 exposures over the course of the day. I haven't got my main system up and running yet so I haven't downloaded and inspected them yet, but I have to say: I'm really really glad I bought this lens. It is the *right* zoom range for a huge bulk of my photography.
More when I get my photo editing system up and going again... :-)
