I won't curse you Dave, no worries.

I actually think the first one is hilarious!  Reminds me of that old
Disney nature short, showing Albatrosses trying to take off and land. 
They're so big that they're really ungainly and clumsy, except while
they're in the air.

Your guy seems to be trying to "put on the brakes".  It's as if he
sees the other birds at the last minute, and is now stuck betwixt and
between, trying to minimize his damages, knowing he's going to crash,
but unable to do anything about it.

Great stuff.

The horsey one is beautiful.  The snow really gives it character and emotion.
