Hi together,
there is a new and *free* version of RAWShooterEssentials2005 on the net. It is based on Michael Johnsons CaptureOne and it is very fast and hany. It also features batchprocessing... To download the software you have to fill out some fields with a correct emailadress to get the link to the download... After that it works for me and it does a good job. http://www.raw-converter.com/index.php?id=81&software=103&download=1
BibblePro4.2 seems to be the handiest under Linux. With very good reults, too.
Both are IMHO way better than Photolaboratory from Pentax. This is more a consumer tool that doesn't even show the original raw-file on the screen. This is a bit disappointing to me...
Have fun, Johannes.

John,
I currently use Capture One LE. It does a great job, especially for batches - that is what hooked me. When I shoot weddings and events, it is invaluable for it's workflow. http://www.phaseone.com/
I am also just now evaluating Bibble. Don't have a final word on it yet. http://www.bibblelabs.com/
