That's pretty cool but I'll stick with pedal power for now.

A few guys around town have modified standard mountain bikes by putting a big cog on the other side of the rear wheel, driven by a small engine (from a chainsaw or something). They ride it a bit like a moped, using the pedals to accelerate. Only they go much faster than your average moped.

One of them came past me a few weeks ago while I was waiting at the lights (he ran the red light around the corner). The sound of the thing scared the heck out of me until I realised what it was. Nothing like the sound of a chainsaw approaching from behind at 50km/h to wake you up in the morning :)
