Thanks Scott for commenting. Yes, you can certainly see my outline in her eyes. Its really noticeable in a 100% picture. Even tho she appeared shy, she did not turn away when I approached for a picture, but looked right at the camera and smiled.

I really like this, as well. The expression on her face say "I really
like being photographed!" And those bright eyes reveal a bit more
than the photographer intended - a self portrait! Excellent
photograph of a superbly chosen subject.

Thanks Frank, and all who commented. I really like this photo, and wish
I had taken more, but it was one of those one-shot deals pretty much.

Tried it in B&W, and the color was so much better.

Comments welcome.

Thanks,

If it starts out in colour, it should stay in colour. It can never be
~real~ b&w <gd&r>.

Okay, aside from my "old film curmudgeon" comments, I think this is a
terrific photo. She may have seemed shy in real life, but I don't get
that from the photo. She's looking right at the camera, and she's got
that big beautiful smile: she appears open and vivacious.

No matter, I like the tight crop, the composition and the exposure.
And that smile!

Wonderful.

cheers,
frank
