All chamber musicians I've ever known were serious and sensitive musicians; since "chamber music" requires such a connection between the players instruments, the cocoon they make during a set is easily disturbed...
So I believe...
The worst I'd do would to be to bring a rangefinder that has an essentially silent shutter and a fast lens ~ no flash.
